Employer: Contractor's Heating and Cooling Supply
Position: Warehouseman (warehouse rat or, as the other warehouse guys so fondly refer to me as, warehouse @#$%!)
Time of Employment: 5 years
so here it is, my baby, the warehouse. I spend 24-40 hours a week inside this 200(ish) yard long space. This picture doesn't do it justice, but it's freaking huge!
Now don't get me wrong, I love my job! with my dad being Mr. V.P. boss man and having a warehouse manager that leaves me pictures like this(see below), I've got it pretty good! not to mention the pay!
But on occasion(ie. Monday's) it is so hard to keep going! I walk the warehouse, nothing to stock. I check the trashes, already emptied them twice. I try to find Casey, the warehouse manager depicted above as a voice bubble laughing at my bloody, decapitated head, hoping that he will have some kind of project for me, he's out delivering.
Monday was definitely one of those days. So i Decided to take a step back and think of a few things that i love about my work.
Like how much fun these things are to drive.
or the fact that I am subliminally being taught multiple languages as i stock shelves.
or that the little plastic discs that come in the boxes of vents make perfect Frisbees.
(picture not included)
also I get filthy. for those manly days.
So now you know not only where i work, but the little things that help me survive slow Mondays.
now lets just hope i can get through the rest of the week.
