Hey there fam! How is everyone? I'm doing alright here... just hangin in there day by day. It's kind of odd still being here when we know we should be in Sweden right now. Well, I guess I shouldn't say we should be, because if you should be, we would be. ha ha. But you know what I mean. So I think mom asked what our days have been like this week? well... really not too bad actually. so Monday was really hard and depressing because we had to be all packed up and ready to go just in case we were leaving but then we got the news that we were being reassigned... I had basically already told myself that we were being reassigned but it was still hard to hear that it was really happening you know? So we had to change residence rooms because they had new missionaries scheduled into our rooms on Monday. It wasn't too bad though, we just had to move across the hall. So after that we went to our class and Brother Bush came in and taught us. But since we don't have an actual agenda anymore, we just kinda worked on what we felt we needed to work on. So that was super nice. Tuesday went by really fast surprisingly and Bro. Winegar surprised us and came and taught us. Then we went to our regular Tuesday night devotional and we got a sweet surprise! Elder L. Tom Perry came and spoke to us! It was the anniversary of the restoration of the priesthood on Tuesday so he gave a great talk and shared a couple awesome experiences all relating to the priesthood. That definitely brightened our day. Then yesterday we got another surprise and Brother Harris came in and taught us in the morning before the new Swedes came! That is why we easily have the best teachers in the MTC! We aren't supposed to have teachers this week but they are choosing by their own wills to come and split time between us and the new Swedes! I really appreciate them so much! So anyways, yesterday afternoon the new Swedes started to get here and once they were all here Bro. Harris came and got us and had us introduce ourselves to they newbies. There are eight of them! And one of them is black! That might seem like a weird thing to say but as far as us and all of our teachers know, he is the first black kid to ever serve in Sweden! So we are all pretty stoked about that. ha ha But anyways I guess the plan for now until when we leave is we are kinda going to act as mentors for the new swedes. Help them out with knowing what to do during their study times and stuff like that and then also helping them with the language and teaching their investigator when a teacher isn't there. So that should be really fun! I'm excited. and it gives us something to do during our unbelievable amount of study time! So that's kind of a run down of the last few days. We have moved into a vacant classroom just down the hall so the new Swedes can be in the Swedish classroom. We are actually in the Icelandic speaking classroom because apparently Icelandic speaking missionaries only come in once or twice a year, in groups of 1 or 2. ha ha crazy huh!? Well I guess it's time to break the news! Just before coming to do the laundry we found out what our temporary reassignment is! All five of us are going to... wait for it.... wait for it.... Charlotte North Carolina! That is definitely the last place I expected but I feel pretty at peace about it. I know that this is were the Lord needs us and me specifically for the time being. We will leave Monday but that is all I know for now. We should be getting our travel plans a little later today. I'm hoping they'll let us call when we get them but I'm not sure so if they don't I'll get back on and send another email detailing our flight plans later today. It's not Sweden but it is definitely not the MTC so that's great! ha ha Anyways, dad it sound like your mothers day talk was great! I wish I could have been there! I miss you all so much! I'm not going to lie, this week has been a rough one for home sickness. mom you are completely right, I think I just tend to like things organized and planned out so when it doesn't go that way I get stressed out. But it's okay. I wish I could have my momma to squeeze me some times but I am learning to rely on the Lord more and more each day to help and comfort me. I love you all so much! Know that. Oh and mom thank you so much for the pictures you have been sending! I love seeing pictures so much! So send them as often as you like! Until next week in North Carolina... har en bra dag!
PS. Will you please continue to pray for our visa's and also that we can maintain or language while in NC? I am really nervous about losing all my Swedish by the time I actually get there. Thanks! I love you!
